Clive, Matthew, Morven, Stephen, Christine, Jon

Taken from a letter from Morven in September 2001

Dear friends,

Clive and I would not be able to travel to NZ next year for the reunion. We did travel to NZ five years ago with our four teenagers for six weeks, and showed them as much of NZ as we could. We saw as many friends as we could too. It was a wonderful time.

Clive retires from 30 years working in the NHS as a GP, and we are going to have a year of seeing where and what we should be doing for the next however many. We also will be glad of some catch up time, rest time. It comes at the time when our youngest daughter Catherine 18 leaves school and is going to take a gap year in NZ before starting University to do Physiotherapy. She flies to NZ on 10th November to stay with friends.

Our next boy Matthew is 19 and is in Africa. He's been working with some church ministry teams there for 2 months, but comes back to do M engineering starting in October.

Jonathan our 2nd boy is 21, just starting his final year BSc in Landscape Architecture and is very involved with his local church, C.U. and evangelism in Poland.

Stephen the eldest is 23, just starting his clinical work of his medical degree, and loving it.

We are very grateful to the Lord that they are all living committed to God.

We are part of New Frontiers International which Terry Virgo heads up. As I look back I guess we have been fairly involved in church planting. We have in the last 6 months moved from the bigger church again to be a part of a small new church all in the local area. We have doubled in size in the 6 months and now up to about 60 people. We enjoy being involved with people and seeing them grow in God.

We do hope you have a great reunion. Give our love to anyone who knows us. Clive went through Faith about 8 years after our course, we went to NZ with 2 little boys in 1980.

We are really enjoying looking forward to a sabbatical year when we take time out to be still before God - that takes some slowing down!! - and see all of His goodness to us over so many years. He has blessed us abundantly, and our family, and we are so grateful to Him. Then we will be ready to give again where God shows us to give.

With love from
Morven Skinner
